Young artists display best work
An up and coming artists’ show will be held at Fawn’s Art Studio, 11 N.E. Second St., on Friday, Nov. 2, and Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All students’ artwork will be for sale and part of the proceeds go to Real Life Children’s Ranch. For information, call 863-634-0241.

OCT to present ‘Oklahoma!’
The Okeechobee Community Theatre, 610 S.W. Second Ave., will present “Oklahoma!” Nov. 2, 3 and 9 at 8 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinees on Nov. 3 and 10, There will be a reunion of the major cast members from its 1991 production of the show, as the first of its three offerings in the 2018-19 season. Season subscriptions can be purchased using the order form available on the website, or by calling Ron or Jacque Hayes at 863-763-1307.

The First United Methodist Women of Okeechobee invites all to attend the fall bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at 200 N.W. Second St. Visitors will find a variety of gifts, crafts, quilted items, nuts, baked goods and white elephant items. Christmas decorations will be on sale in the Simply Christmas room. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds will go to mission projects, local, national and abroad.

The GFWC Okeechobee Junior Woman’s Club will hold a Touch-A-Truck event on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Okeechobee Agri-Civic Center, 4601 Florida 710. This fundraising event provides kids of all ages the opportunity for a hands-on experience with vehicles that dig, climb, rescue, crunch and honk. Live demonstrations. Event includes food, games, and more. Free event.

Big “O” Hike set for Nov. 18-23
The Florida Trail Association will host the Big “O” Lake Hike, Nov. 18 -23, the Loxahatchee Chapter of the Florida Trail Association (FTA) will lead six days of hiking on the Lake Okeechobee dikes for the 27th annual Big “O” Hike.
