County Administrator
Mrs. Robbie Chartier

      Ms. Robbie L. Chartier was appointed as the County Administrator on November 10, 2011 by the Board of County Commissioners.  She has been employed by Okeechobee County since June 1998 and served as Okeechobee County Deputy Administrator for Budget and Finance. Mrs. Chartier has served as Okeechobee County Interim Administrator from March 1, 2011 until her appointment and from November, 2007 until April 15, 2008.
      
       Pursuant to Florida Statutes 125 the Board of County Commissioners sets policy and adopts ordinances that regulate Okeechobee County Government.  The County Administrator is the Chief Executive Officer for County Government and carries out the directive and policies of the Board.  As County Administrator, she is supported by a Deputy County Administrator who coordinates the operational functions of the County.  Mrs. Chartier also has the direct supervisory responsibilities for Okeechobee County Building, Planning and Zoning, Code Enforcement, Human Resources, Senior Services, Veteran’s Services, Tourist Development, Library, Housing/Grants, Extension Office and Soil Conservation, The Okee-Tantie Campground & Marina and Agri-Civic Center.  Mrs. Chartier also represents Okeechobee County on the Public Risk Management Executive Board as Vice Chair and the Heartland Library Cooperative as Treasurer.

County Deputy Administrator for Operations
Mr. Jim Threewits

      Mr. Jim Threewits’ serves as Okeechobee County Deputy Administrator for Operations and has been employed by Okeechobee County since February 2000.  The Deputy Administratorfor Operations has the supervisory responsibilities for; Capital Improvements Department, Road and Bridge, Solid Waste / Recycling Program Engineering Services, Special Projects, , Facility Maintenance, Parks and Recreation,Animal Control, and Public Safety.  Mr. Threewits also represents Okeechobee County on the Board of Governors for the Florida Rural Broadband Alliance
