The Affordable Housing Advisory Committee consists of local business professionals and residents of Okeechobee County, who actively seek ways to improve, encourage and facilitate affordable housing throughout the County. The committee is also responsible for recommending revisions or amendments to the Local Housing Plan, a plan that is periodically updated and approved by the Board of County Commissioners.....read more

The Children's Services Council of Okeechobee County is an independent taxing authority founded in 1990. The Council’s mission is to enhance the lives of all children in Okeechobee County and enable them to attain their full potential by providing funds to qualifying agencies. These agencies provide programs that improve the quality of life for children and include preventive, developmental, treatment and/or rehabilitative services.
