Family Friendly Events in Okeechobee

Looking for some sweet events to take your sweetheart to?  

Okeechobee Main Street will be hosting the Top of the Lake Art Fest on February 9-10, 2019.  The festival hours are 10 AM - 5 PM on Saturday and 10 AM - 3 PM on Sunday.  This event includes fine art, artisan art, Chalk Walk street painting, a sand sculpture, art gallery for student and local artists, children's art area and for the dog lovers a pet parade and "Pawcasso" art so you and your pet can make art together.  For more information contact Main Street at 863-357-6246. 

Okeechobee Main Street will be hosting the Taste of Okeechobee the evening of February 9, 2019.  Event hours are 4 PM - 7:30 PM with early bird tickets for $20.00 and tickets purchased that day for $25.00.  Be a part of your downtown and stroll through Park Street shops while sampling Okeechobee's best restaurants along the way!  For more information contact Main Street at 863-357-6246.

Sweetheart’s Date Night will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m. at Freedom Ranch, located at 11655 U.S. 441 S.E. This event features a BBQ dinner, dancing and music by the JD Tucker Band. Tickets are a donation of $25 each and can be purchased at Eli’s Western Wear, Okeechobee Livestock Market, or by calling 863-763-2893. Proceeds benefit Martha’s House.

For you history buffs don't forget to attend the Battle of Okeechobee Second Seminole War Battle Re-enactment.  This great family friendly events hours are 10 AM - 4 PM February 23-24, 2019 with the re enactment beginning at 2 PM each day.  Please join the Okeechobee Battlefield Friends for the commemoration of the largest and fiercest battle in the Seminole War fought on Christmas Day 1837.  This event includes alligator demonstrations, music, artisans, children's horse rides and other exhibits.  Admission is $10.00 per car load.  Located at Okeechobee Battlefield Historic State Park 3500 SE 38th Ave. Okeechobee, Florida.
