Children’s Services Council

The Board of County Commissioners of Okeechobee County, Florida is seeking persons to nominate for appointments to the Children’s Services Council. The Council’s duties are to provide and maintain such preventative, developmental, treatment and rehabilitative services for children as it determines necessary.  It also allocates and provides funds for other agencies in the county which operate for the benefit of children. The Board of County Commissioners will nominate at least three (3) applicants each for four (4) appointments to be made by the Governor. A qualified applicant must have resided in Okeechobee County for at least twenty-four (24) months prior to making application and must complete a Questionnaire for Gubernatorial Appointments form, which may be obtained in the County Administration Office, 304 NW 2nd Street, Room 123, Okeechobee, Florida or from the County website www.co.okeechobee.fl.us.    These must be submitted no later than Noon on August 29, 2011.
