4-H Summer Camps

The Okeechobee County 4-H Extension Program is, once again, excited to offer summer camps for the 2019 summer!  Stay tuned for more detailed schedules.  Registration is available May 1st.

Schedule is as follows:

Ag Camp: July 15-19, July 29-August 2
Ag camp will explore the agricultural industry through hands on learning. Participants will visit local dairy, beef, and apiary operations as well as cook local agricultural products and explore the natural resources of Okeechobee. Open to all youth entering 5th grade through 12th. 

H20 Camp:  July 22-26
H20 Encounter is an environmental day camp that explores various water resources in south Florida. Open to all youth ages 8-18. 

History Camp: June 17-21, July 15-19
Campers will visit South Florida historical sites and museums. Open to all youth ages 8-18. 

Horse Camp: June 24-28
Campers are provided riding and lesson time in the saddle. Campers experience horse activities geared toward developing riders. Campers bring their own horse and supplies. Open to all youth ages 8-18. 

Shooting Sports: July 8-12
Camp teaches conservation and ecology practices through field trips and hands on activities. Open to all youth ages 10-18.
